Put an end to overwhelm!

Karen Wilkening, MA, CPO has organized over 100 satisfied clients in San Diego County since 1999. She specializes in residential and home-based business clients. Decluttering is her mission, positive change is her passion!
Karen is an organizer with heart. She is inspiring, attentive, and compassionate as well as being fast, efficient and creative in her work with clients. She works at a pace appropriate to the client’s ability and is skilled at helping people get clear about what’s important to them. The process of organizing one’s space builds confidence, clarity and self-esteem.
One of her greatest strengths is her understanding of human psychology. She has not only worked successfully with moderately disorganized clients, but also with more difficult issues including attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, depression, compulsive hoarding, and brain injuries. Past history as well as a person’s working style can make being organized next to impossible. Her experience with a wide range of challenges allows her to help clients move productively forward in their lives. Organizing is powerful medicine.
Karen has an eclectic background that gives her unique skills as an organizer. She studied architectural drafting and solar home design, and gained experience in cabinetry and carpentry (she's always loved to get her hands dirty!). These home design skills contribute to her awareness of the home as an efficient and nurturing environment. On the therapeutic side, she worked for over 20 years in lifestyle and personal coaching as a Holistic Health Practitioner. While working as an organizer, she earned a master's degree in Expressive Arts Therapy. Professional organizing has been a powerful way to combine her hands-on skills with her teaching and therapeutic skills to significantly enhance the lives of her clients.
She is an active member of NAPO, the National Association of Professional Organizers, as well as NAPO-San Diego and is a Board Certified Professional Organizer (CPO).
